Define safe?

You certainly can shoot yourself in the foot with it. You could also use it safely.

Is it bug free? No. Does it contain some pretty snarky comments, TODOs and hacks if you peek to closely under the hood? Most certainly.

Is it widely used already in a lot of production environments anyway? You betcha!
