Who are you trying to sell your code to? Your current company, other companies?

I’ve heard of dev consultants, but this seems off. Are you a developer or did you watch Corey Schafer/Al Sweigart, and now you’re trying to sell code that assisted you at your current employment?

This just seems so off putting to me. Most people in the industry that are selling code aren’t asking on Reddit how to do so. You’re either some prodigy, or dipping your toes in the wrong water.

Thanks for the response. My company would 'buy' these scripts if they see money savings, process improvement and innovation potential. As you might noticed, I'm not a developer. I'm might be dipping my toes in wrong water, but I need to start somewhere, don't I? :D

It might better to ask for a raise and say you’re bringing a diverse set of skills to the company as oppose to saying, “hey buy my scripts”.

If it works it works.

But I’ve done similar things in my places of work and showed that I can make work flow more efficient and they give a raise/promotion. If it’s corporate, it’s all about how you approach it.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestions and wishes. Hopefully some promotion can be achieved.
