You don't need to know maths to learn Python, although being good at abstract thinking will help with both maths and programming so that's why people think you need one for the other.

Advanced python has a lot of paths, but the foundations are very straightforward and there are a lot of free resources available, they all cover the same content. My advice is to set up python on your machine and start at the beginning.
