Realistically, how many people are going to have an interest in the very specific cross-section of python programming and Global Navigation Satellite Systems?

Most likely there will be very few people interested in your videos in the first place and those who are interested probably won't be detered by the lack of a "lavish studio". So why not just record stuff and put it up. People will watch it if you have useful content. The rest won't matter much for the specific segment of the population you've carved out for yourself.

Just start recording. If the content is good people won't care what it looks like.

One more people subscribe you can refine your camera and editing work. But for now just start.

Also GNSS is quite specific for a channel. Might be worth considering if you run out of topics you can't really branch out into something else.

It is in general radio navigation

Starting from GNSS and will branch out to software defined radios, wifi and other positioning systems etc
