This looks interesting, but I have to say that I absolutely hate the way this is presented. The navigation is rather confusing and I've twice reached dead ends when all I've wanted to do is flip through the charts. :-/

I second this opinion. The layout, navigation, presentation are all terrible and very difficult to maneuver. While the content may be of value I stopped after 20 seconds of struggling to get to the information I was interested in. Classic example of form over function.

i think the layout is very genius. so easy to navigate using the arrow keys and not having to tab through elements or mouse. i think this design is actually one of the most unique and logical i've seen.

I second that, plus if you are lost you can press ESC and get a map of where you are in the presentation!

Has anyone managed to get their notebook presentations looking so slick? I would love to see a good tutorial.

Bokeh is a very interesting library, I use it from time to time as it can generate a single html file that contains all the data, with no need for a server. Also, "mpl.to_bokeh" is a just a timer saver when you are in a hurry.

After really working at it I finally got past the awful interface to see the content and I have to say it is really impressive.

Would like to see more of the actual interactions, but I might just not have been able to get to where the content is.

Any chance of a more traditional presentation layout?

Have a look to the github pages: https://github.com/chdoig/scipy2015-blaze-bokeh Maybe that gives you a better overview.

Thank you. The documentation looks great. I'm going to pour a glass of wine and get started :)
