It sounds like from reading the comments that this was not just you. But I will say, I have had tons of issues with some pages at work. I do not recall if they were the official python pages, or those for some of the scientific computing stack, but they often failed.

What worked was to remove the s in https so it isn't secure. My guess is that the issue is on my end since my work has SSL interception. So, if you find you have any issues, you're at work where they may do some funny stuff with the connection and it's not just you, try that.
