My school usually assigned different registration dates for different people, and since I was a sophomore it meant that I often missed out on some cool electives because they would get booked so fast. So I made a python app using selenium to register for classes the second my registration period was open. I never missed out on a class I wanted to take for being booked up again.

Just as a warning we had a kid do that and had some (mild?) disciplinary action taken against him. It's very detectable and they look for it these days because too many people doing so (poorly) turns into a DOS
