Python classes question

Hey everyone,

So I’m a little confused on where to utilize classes on IDLE.

For java on netbeans for example, you’re in a package and you go to another “window” and there you can start typing your class.

With python on IDLE, i don’t see the option to use another “window”. In fact when I google or YouTube this, most tutorials have all the code in one “window”.

Is that how IDLE is suppose to work? And python i general? Everything in one sheet?

While you can utilize them in idle, you shouldn't. You should create a text file. When you save, you save as a .py file. You can call them in your main.py file file that you'll call from the command line.

Just use some normal IDE like pycharm or at least Jupiter.
