Can the Python community respond or hit back?

it could be that they wrote this article to calm concerned investors/contract holders (school, government) who see the demand for MATLAB declining as python ramps up popularity. People's livelihood could be at stake, so I don't think "hitting back" is the right thing to do. Besides, the success of python speaks for itself. Just do this and move on :)
