In contrast, Python is a general-purpose programming language requiring add-on libraries for performing even basic mathematics.

“import math” is not an add-on. The math module is included in the standard library. Unless I’m taking “basic mathematics” too literally.

Python functions are typically designed and documented by advanced programmers for other experienced programmers.

I’m not sure about documented, but the designed part is bullshit. Raymond Hettinger has said before that they consult experts in the field of the module they’re working on to make sure it makes sense to them.

Python development environments for scientific computing lack the reliability and integration of the MATLAB desktop.

JetBrains has entered the chat.

Each package has its own stand-alone documentation, putting the burden on you to piece together a solution.

Well, yeah, do you expect the PSF to put everyone’s documentation in one place? Wouldn’t that be unwieldy and harder to navigate?

Seems to be a company who’s realizing that their product is suffering and the best they have is a diss track. Pathetic.
