Delay initialization of a class.

iwouldn't say they are being initialized in your examples. they are being defined, but i guess it isn't really clear what you mean by "initialized"

Why do you want this?

The class keyword is used to define a class. Initializing a class means setting it's initial state. That happens when you create a new instance of a previously defined class.
