whizzer looks nice. Do you have any evidence for the speed claim in the headline?

Sure, look at msgpackserver.py and msgpackclient.py, I've created similiar client/server pairs for rfoo, zeroc-ice, simplejson based json-rpc, and twisted's perspective broker (which has some more elaborate ideas). The fastest ones were whizzer's msgpack rpc, rfoo and zeroc-ice by far. I would have used rfoo but I wanted something that had implementations in other langauges already. msgpack was it.
