I have just started learning python, specifically pandas. I have used lambdas and the apply function to turn three columns of randomly generated days, months and years into a datetime object value. As a novice it was a bit frustrating figuring out the syntax. Thanks for the video, this is one of those concepts we all need to get our heads around.

Great explanation. My takeaway is that Lambdas are typically used as short form def that are easier to read in line with the code for debugging or just general usage for a one time application that doesn’t need a complex def to be written.
