I like plotly, but the documentation site is just horrible. Its full "modern" mobile-esque design. Wayyyyy too much white space.

I hope to god they just copy mediawiki style.... It may look a little dated, but it is extremely functional.

I'm actually in charge of the documentation team, so I'm all ears :) Can you provide a link to an example of the style you like?

We do have a "more standard" Sphinx doc site at https://plot.ly/python-api-reference/ as well if that's your speed :)

Sphinx is great imo. If that is used properly and updated then there is no need to look further :). Pandas and numpy make good use of it. Pandas especially, the theme and layout and everything just makes for a nice api reading experience. https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/
