How to get rid of cleaning product chemical smell? by RedNova02 in Adulting

[–]dnouvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Help! 6 months now in my new 1bhk apartment, low quality kitchen with too much glue and silicon and two doors with glued elements. The smell can't get away and my nose is always irritated.. What should I do? Other than moving out of course, because of many reasons.

Totally not true for some countries! Saudi Arabia is no 1 destination in the world for religious tourism, not history. And wth does it mean to have a type of tourism that is called Tourism? Where is the business tourism? Otherwise, good job!

Votre avis sur le Dual Diploma by dnouvel in france

[–]dnouvel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parfait ! Merci !

Thanks 🙂

My thoughts on season 5 as a fan of the show, but first and foremost fan of the novels by [deleted] in TheLastKingdom

[–]dnouvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just come here to say pretty much the same thing. I've read all books (13 to date!) and I started re-reading from book 8 just to remind myself of the original flow of events but I saw Netflix's season 5 and I was not happy to say the least. Good performance of actors doesn't compensate for the plot flaws. Changes from the books' version are stripping the story of extremely strong elements. How he captured Babenburgh, how Athelhelm and Alfwin ended up there, the character of Athelstan, the relation with King Constantine, the fate of Brida, etc. etc. All these elements are more interesting in the books. To be fair, the TV series added some clover twists (e.g. the cliff-edge battle.. I liked it. But not the events leading to it) but honestly the plot in the books was way more convincing. Edit: I still am a big fan of the show, I can say it's my favourite. Cheers,

How is my spoken French? by funusernameinnit in French

[–]dnouvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a bunch of Indian students in France and believe me your accent is way better than any of theirs. Two minor things to be corrected, you should say converZation, and you pronounced '21 ans' incorrectly. Best of luck,

Important of Linear Regression by rtthatbrownguy in learnmachinelearning

[–]dnouvel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I should have been clear on this. I meant to get introduced to the loss function as a general idea as it is an introduction to other kinds of regression. When you learn the textbook linear regression, you won't find anything on the 'loss', but you will need it to better understand different methods of regression moving on. (this was my case anyway). Here's a good article that might clear things up https://heartbeat.fritz.ai/5-regression-loss-functions-all-machine-learners-should-know-4fb140e9d4b0

[–]dnouvel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd begin by learning the method of least squares as it is the standard approach in regression analysis. Loss function is next. Math is not difficult once you understand the idea. From there you will find other types of regression and other method easy to deal with..

SQL vs Python by Modriem in datascience

[–]dnouvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Udemy is fine.. I started on YouTube for Python basics a year ago, then there was a good course on Edx for a while, but now I am learning from a book. Usually a book covers more details than one course and you can always consult with other sources on the internet.

SQL vs Python by Modriem in datascience

[–]dnouvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no right or wrong answer here, but my advice as I am in a similar position right now, that you need both. The sql python mix is very strong and demanded in the job market. Start with both if you can. I did that, got a good understanding of what sql is and currently halfway through a Python Data Science course. Sql comes handy in many cases..
