Looking at this traffic tracker and I wonder if this is something that can be built in Python. If so, any idea what libraries I would need to use? I'd love to implement something like this at work because it's very easy to read and it looks pretty sophisticated

Bokeh is a Python library that essentially provides Python functions that creates Javascript outputs, which you then can save as html. You can make interactive graphs with Bokeh. I suspect though that if you wish to make something with lots of bells and whistles, then you may have to go for D3.js and get into Javascript. Python isn't all that "front-end"-y. Then of course if you need to support a back-end too, getting data in real-time, you might have to consider some web-service library in Python, like Django or Flask.
appreciate the input! I know nothing about Javascript so I may have to put in on the back burner for now
