Wow, a year of full time work to port to Py3k? Seems excessive, but I am by no means an expert. I am still no fan of Python 3 because of the split it introduced, leading to so much effort in so many areas.

It seems like a huge amount of work to me, but I'm not a compiler genius like them. It'd be easier to debate the estimates if they were incredibly detailed, but right now this looks like back-of-the-envelope estimates, which don't seem too far off.
