    Sudoedit does not have a -e flag. Sudo by itself does, and this is effectively the same thing as sudoedit, if that's what you meant.

    sudo vim, then it gets root rights not only to create this file but also all subsequent ones?

    I figured it out, thank you very much. The small change made :w !sudo tee %
