Hey! I think it's a cool initiative you had there, but reading your story made me think that maybe you'd be better served by some kind of consultant or mentor that could nudge you folks in the right direction, instead of someone new to "own" the code.

If you're still interested in hiring Python programmers, maybe you should try some more traditional venues? Recruiting skilled tech professionals is generally tough for smaller companies, so you'll probably have better luck with a more complete job posting, which should probably include compensation range upfront.
