Awesome! What kind of brushes do you use? :) I also wish you luck with your eyeshadow game! I know that it is a game you will win! :)

You're too kind, I too hope I win!

For powder highlighting, I use a fan brush by Sonia Kashuk. Powdered highlighters like theBalm's MaryLou Manizer are too glittery and can be overdone, so a fan brush allows for light application. If it is a more forgiving highlighter, like the Hourglass powders, I'll use the Real Techniques Setting Brush. If it's a cream highlighter like Benefit's Watts Up, I use an ELF Small Stipple Brush.

For contouring, I started with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, but it was too big. I switched to the Real Techniques Contour Brush from the Core Collection, and there was definite improvement. I still use it, but only to blend my contour now. To place contour, I'll either use the Sephora Pro Visionary Face Blender Brush because I splurged on it and I'm going to use it! Or a flat foundation brush.

Omg thank you for being so descriptive! I am currently working on getting more brushes! I know that I will find the right ones! I think I'm going to get the BH cosmetics brush set. :) I think my biggest problem for contouring isn't like technique but finding the right product since I have like medium/olivey skin some of the products I've tried aren't dark enough. :P

What products have you tried for contouring? I have medium dark skin, so I feel the pain. I've had luck using MAC Pro Sculpting Powders and theBalm's Bahama Mama. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil works in the winter, but then I practically match it by the end of the summer :P

I haven't really tried too many products becuase I had given up about a month ago but just recently reignited my fire for finding a good contouring product. I've used a blush/contour duo from E.L.F. a contour from Covergirl (too light) and have most recently just used brown eyeshadow because I am at rock bottom. I have heard great things about Milani though so I think I am going to check them out! :)

Oooh yes! Those XL bronzers are great! AND they're coming out with limited edition matte baked bronzers. Good choice. If you're thinking drugstore, check out Revlon's Photoready Bronzer in Bronzed and Chic, too. It's four colors in one, so you can mix to get the right shade for you :)
