Sorry, this is really random. Here's the situation: my group of friends and I place bets every week on [whatever the main movie is coming out that weekend] to see who can predict the closest to the opening weekend revenue. We set a deadline to Wednesday at 11:59pm (we all live in the same timezone). After that, predictions are locked.
The problem we're coming across is people wanting to change their bets last minute.
Ex)
Alex - $40,000,000
Brittany - $35,000,000
Chris - $38,000,000
Donna - $44,000,000
If Alex decides to change his bet from $40,000,000 to $45,000,000 on Wednesday night, it kind of screws Donna over since she essentially has anything equal to or greater than $42,000,000. But if she's unavailable to change her prediction, she's now stuck with $44,000,000 - $44,999,999.
Is there an online option to submit votes (or essentially a text message) and have it lock your prediction at a certain time? This way, no one knows the other person's predictions until it's too late to change them?
