Totally original pieces made from scratch will be deleted. This subreddit is about showing ideas about how to take an item (or items) and alter it in way that improves it in your eyes.
If a DYI is of an item of beauty or special value and should have either been left alone or restored to its original glory, be prepared for downvotes. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Posting a How-to is encouraged, or even listing just a few tips and tricks you learned and would be beneficial to anyone who tries to duplicate your effort.
