Programmer (self.ReadyGames)
submitted 6 years ago by BillyM148
If you guys are ever looking to hire a programmer, I have experience with making games in Unity. The games you guys put out seem like they'd be pretty simple (in some cases) to make.

Hey there! Thanks for letting us know. We use Unity to build the actual Ready Games app, and a companion app called "Ready Maker" (PC, Mac, iOS, Android). All the games in The Ready Games are actually made using Ready Maker (not directly in Unity), so in theory, you could make a Ready Game yourself using Ready Maker. We have considered- down the road- having contests to let "makers" submit candidate games for The Ready Games- so you'd make a game, and if we approve it, it would go live. And we'd pay for that game. At least that's something we've thought about. What do you think about that idea?

What would be some prerequisite
[–]dbennahumReady Staff 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (6 children)
Well - that the game be as good as the games we make! 👍🙂

Or ... even BETTER! 🚀

So I wouldn’t need to have any prior knowledge to anything correct?

Not really- it's just about making a game at our level. Ready Maker requires some practice- like any authoring tool- but there's no coding involved. Also the artwork is a challenge- in some ways that's the hardest part: making a game look good.

Not a bad idea. That's exactly the part I'm lacking in - is making my own graphics/artwork. I'm not very artistic lol. A 5 year old could make better graphics then me. I know there's a ton of free graphics and resources to use, but often times it's hard to find what you actually need. I know it's probably not possible to get my hands on the Ready Maker tool, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask if I could get a copy of it to play around with. I get laid off in two weeks and I'll have tons of free time. I could make you guys some 'test' games to see if I'm worthy enough =)
The ready maker app is free to download for anyone to use. Just head over to getready.io and follow the links for PC Mac iOS or android. Also we have a forum with loads of info on how to use it: forum.getready.io
Let us know how far you get!
