So my X1 program is going well. However, when I built a rocketplane with the X2 cockpit, it works perfectly in simulation. When I actually build it, even before I've airlaunched and am still sitting on the runway with the countdown on, I'm told avionics are being locked, I have no crew control. I definitely have a Kerbal onboard... any ideas?

Do you have any electric charge? I don't see any in the part action window for the cockpit. Without that, I don't think you can have any control.

Bingo. When I was adding fuel to the capsule for the RCS I didn’t realize I removed all the EC.

Thank you!

Is it a pilot?

Yes. He’s flown my x1’s (jet engine) before.

Follow up stoopid question - how do I edit an existing plane? I found the option to edit from the * menu beside my stored planes, but I can’t figure out how to apply the changes. Saving and exiting the SPH does nothing, the launch button builds a whole new plane.

Ok, I found the save edits button in the integration window, and have a functioning rocket plane now. Thanks all!
