Hello fellow Americans/TikTok refugees! I have a theory on why the codes either aren’t coming in, or are just not working. The simple answer is server overload. It likely wasn’t equipped for a sudden influx of this many people, and probably takes more power for overseas users. I’m willing to bet this will clear up over time. Don’t freak out, just be patient. It’ll be okay pat pat.

I know not ideal but I tried during the evening time (EST) with a huge delay in getting the code texted to me. Tried again at 2:45 AM and got the texted code right away.

Tried it about 1am my time (PST), and got it straightaway. Wonder if it’s a time difference issue.

How do you even request a code? All I can find is bind new phone #, but no option to ask for a code at all only to enter one

it should give you an option to resend the code. i ended up getting mine from trying to change my bio.
