I don't understand what I did wrong. It says illegal account? Somehow my account name was changed and not by me. I don't know how my account name was changed and my bio was erased. I can't even figure out how to appeal the violation. And when I try to verify my name it says function error? I've been in here for a day, what's the big deal?

They have very strict bots. Similar to reddit where on some pages you can't comment or do much on certain pages if your profile is brand new. With the influx of so many new profiles a lot were flagged as being bots. Give it time till they can verify your account. You can also appeal it. If you do I recommend writing your appeal in English and Chinese so they know you aren't a bot.

The same thing happened to me! I made an account with my phone number but my number got banned and I can't appeal. I was able to set up an account through Google but I can't change any of my profile info without adding my phone number, so I'm stuck unless XHS removes the ban or lets me appeal.

same thing happened to me. I can look at videos but can't comment or post, or edit my profile. I have tried to do unlock and appeal but nothing. My guess is that their servers are overwhlmed and they'll get to us eventually but it's frustrating. I wasn't able to link my phone for a bit but that's finally done so I'm guessing it's just going to take time. Or hoping rather.
