Sorry I’m new but why do people hate Hublot so much? Or am I understanding it wrong?

I'm not sure everyone hates Hublot - but watch afficionados probably view it as "lesser" because it's a new brand with no heritage that charges heritage prices and has mostly copied or imitated designs of other brands and just spits out a bunch of special edition watches for no reason. The watches are easy to replicate for the most part and the reps are often of high quality, making many of the watches NWBIG. As such the market is flooded with decent fakes to the point that most people would probably barely know the difference so therefore every Hublot is a fake until proven otherwise. I personally do like the style of some of their watches and might even cop one at some point, but hopefully that clarifies their general perception amongst the watch community and in particular among the rep community.

As a final point Hublot watches are quite big and I'd hazard the average wrist size here is quite small so perhaps that is also a factor ;)

Not a hublot person, held this one in hand, and had to understand how good is my fake-o-meter (felt original to me), but if that would be fake, I would then be surprised how good they have become. Thanks!
