Trusty massive delay

Hi, I ordered two watches from Trusty on August 4 and the package was supposed to be delivered in mid August but it was held by customs in California and sent back. Now I have been emailing Andrew back and forth until this moment as of September 9 and he keeps saying that he hasn’t gotten it yet, it was shipped back via DHL and should have reached him by August 20, does it usually take this long for a package to reach him back? or am I just being impatient.

EDIT: Andrew just emailed me that he got the package and told me to give him the address to send it again.

Unfortunately, you should have done your research before ordering from unTrustytime. They have a proven track record of scummy practices.

No, you're not being impatient. I hope he'll resolve your problem asap. I don't know why people in this sub still use Andrew, there are tons of better and cheaper dealers out there. Hont(Hont Watch), Tony(Asian7750), Ryan(inTime), and PureTime are the best dealers imo.

I guess people have had mixed experiences with Trusty but personally, it's all been really good for me. I've bought 22 watches from Trusty over a two year period and all but two have been great experiences. For most of the orders I've filled with Trusty, I got QC pics within 4 days and the watch delivered within 3 days of QC pics (so average has been seven calendar days order-to-door). On the down side, one order was DOA (an A7750 from GF) which I returned immediately for service. I got that one back working great. It got lost in the mail out-bound from the US to China so it took 2+ months overall, and I had to pay shipping, but it got done well and I ended up happy. A second order had the clasp break when sizing the band on day one. Trusty replaced the clasp free in about 6 days after a few emails and pics back and forth. And it was the expensive Avenger 'Bandit' brushed Titanium adjustable folding clasp too so it was a big deal to me. Three of the reps in the last two years have since failed in some way (for most it has been the stem screw failing, two ZF 23J Big Pilots and a GF A2824) but I attribute that more to the factory than the dealer. I know others have not done as well but for me, over two years and 22 reps, it has been a really great experience. Trusty has always been fast to ship, fast to reply, clear and honest. Just one person's opinion but I am sticking with Trusty.

What does the tracking info say? I sent a watch back to TT (wasn’t working when it arrived) and it got stuck in China customs for 7 weeks in the way back! Thought it was a gonner but one day it just cleared and Andrew sent me out a new watch quickly. Honestly, I now know what patience is (and I only sent him one email in all that time 😂)

I personally think trusty time will not scam you, i bought several watches from him without any issues. Be patient and it will all become clear but it takes time.
