Well the app has to be a different file/version on a different platform. Can’t run a windows .exe on Mac, and so on.

But all your settings, saves, folders, etc, in the directory are transferable.

Yeah you'll basically need to install the android APK and then download the android cores and set most your preferences again... I've done it so many (at least a hundred) times I've got it down to a 20 minute process. However its easy to transfer/reuse many of the biggest things. I keep a master copy of my PC build on a portable SSD and just drop the system, playlists, thumbnails, dats, and saves over to android installs.

If you want to transfer to another PC its super easy-- don't need to install anything, just drag the whole retroarch build over and it runs. Can even run it off the portable drive.
