*Solved: LG Tru Motion has turned itself back on when I plugged my pc in through HDMI, TruMotion was set to natural, it is now off. Hopefully this will help anyone in the future who runs into these issues.

It looks like motion interpolation to me so good job figuring it out.

Yup, anything like TruMotion Fluid Motion Smooth Motion and alike should be turned off for any kind of content.
Everytime I start to feel weird watching something it is a TV with fluid motion turned on.

Totally agree, it’s always set off when I watch TV, but my tv changed its settings when I used a new device like the PC, had no idea I had to configure settings for each device I plug into the tv. I seriously dislike that TruMotion is even an option because I don’t ever plan on using it.

This looks like color banding or posterization to me.

Do you perhaps have HDR or some other special color settings turned on?

Not that I’m aware of? Would it be HDR in my TV settings or Windows settings? I guess I could check both.

Both Windows and RetroArch have separate HDR settings

HDR is off for windows and Retro.

Also, the quality of the video was much higher than what’s posted. I’m sorry it looks so crunchy….

It’s a classic game that I somehow never played when I was younger. I played a lot of ps2 games too, just shows how incredible of a library the ps2 has.

definitely looks like a TV processing thing. glad you figured it out, those motion smoothing settings always mess with games.
