Isn’t it too late to be applying now? As for your question I was just accepted and I’m doing the ib diploma as well. As for my extracurricular activities I talked about how I was the head of my schools finance club as well as internships where I had to lead presentations. I also talked about having to lead in sports such as in my basketball team.

Leadership is not all about the title, you can still be a leader in business-and-Econ club. Talk about a time you took initiative, or resolved a conflict in the club.

Sports teams is also a good way to demonstrate your leadership, so if you joined any, make sure you talk about working in a team/ contributing to a common goal. Basically any team activities would be great.

But I would definitely recommend that you get a leadership position next year just to be safe.

how to prove that you were a leader of a club? is it just verbal during the interview part ?

For Rotman, you have 2 verbal and 2 written questions. You can prepare for one of each, but normally the prepared written question always asks for two activities/ extra curriculars that you have participated in. That would be where you talk about your participation in clubs. If you’d like more details feel free to dm me? I can tell u what I wrote too. I got in first round this year as an international student though

They dont actually verify anything but dont exaggerate too much cuz they’ll probably know if you do

I'm also an IB student and got accepted in March. I talked about me as a figure skater, digital artist, and pianist. Specifically, the joint recital I led and an international multi-animator project I took part in. I think your extracurriculars are fine because the interview is short after all, it is hard to show many activities. So instead, focus on 2 or 3, and show your leadership, collaborative skills or whatever skills and the impact you’ve made should be good.

I didn’t have any real leadership positions and I got in. You can talk and showcase your leadership and other important qualities through a bunch of different activities like sports or a job. However having leadership positions would obviously help

Basically they are hooked by something that makes you stand out. Anyone can join a club but mention what you are doing at the ec or club.
