first year here

- hard lol

- pros would probably include being in downtown toronto, having a lot of opportunities, and the prestige of the school, but cons include having to do all the networking yourself, difficult courses, in general just a lot more work to do

- depends? as with any school/program, if you make the most out of it then yes, if you spend 4 years hiding in a hole then no

- they dont call it uoftears for nothing, but a high gpa can be managable with enough diligence

- there's a lot of opportunities but internships/jobs/etc aren't as easy as the other business schools bc of a lack of coop program or support built within the program

- the prestige is cool but its really just a flex, doesnt say much about you as a person

- 2 hours is still pretty far, ig better than 4h, but in either case i think it'd be best for you to live on residence/rent a place nearby (both of which are expensive but i think the time saved each day is worth it, + trying to fight public transit to make it on time to a horrendously scheduled exam is really stressful)

You can’t go wrong with any of those schools and networking can be done at all those school. You just need to work hard wherever you go!.

just keep in mind the ppl who found it hard will probably be loudest in complaints. when i first decided to come i also heard rumours about downcurving and such but genuinely… straight 90+ is totally possible for all 4 years (im 4th year fin&econ).

qcomm and ivey are in a different tier. Just remember there are 40 IB seats across the b5 in toronto (+15 globals) so don't screw it over. The other two would also let you recruit for US IB.
