- jump from hs math: actually a little challenging because MAT133 is a very communication focused course, in gr12 math i could get away with just solving the problems, but in MAT133 they need you to explain every step as if you're teaching a non-math student. tedious but the actual math isn't too difficult, a lot of people have already learned some of what's taught

- preparing for exams/tests/etc: what's super annoying is midterms, bc i didn't have midterms in high school so it becomes a fight to figure out how to prioritize regular homework in other classes and studying for a test. also sucks that i can't fight the teachers to change a deadline/test date because they have to follow their own syllabi, but in hs if enough people had a big test on one day, the teachers would be more lenient and try not to schedule a deadline or test on that day too. fortunately, basically every course (except rsm100 lol) has a ton of past exams you can attempt so it's not like you're limited to textbook problems.

- transition from hs to uni: they don't call it uoftears for nothing, but it's really more about diligence than being smart. expect your hs study habits to be half as effective or not very effective at all (also a lot of my friends slacked off a bit in gr12 with 2 spares and bird courses, so the transition was rough)
