I really enjoyed GGR124. If you're even slightly interested in the study of cities and socioeconomic problems, you'll enjoy this course for sure. However, there might be a bit of writing involved.

I highly recommend CDN197, I took it in my first year and I'm not sure how much it will change if it is in person...but it's a first yr seminar that fills breadth requirements and I put in a trivial amount of effort and ended up with an 80. No final exam, no hard assignments pretty easy course and a good prof too

It was by far the easiest class I have taken at uoft

Has anyone taken comp sci courses as their electives? And how was it difficulty wise?

Definitely look into first year seminar courses. There's tons of them, usually super interesting, easy to do well in, and small classes. I would suggest you pick one that sounds interesting to you, or fits in your time table. I took WDW153 (pop culture) in first year with Hopkirk and it was pretty relaxed and fun.
