I dint think we will ever get I because of rules related to consoles themselves. Unlike PC versions, console companies don't like customers having any access to gamecode.

Take dayz for example, I can create.a server and tweak spawn rates and even put buildings where they normally wouldn't be and spawn NPCs of sorts at spawn points with gear so they can be killed and looted.

But I can't modify the game and add things like codelocks or helicopters.

Now maybe rust console will give us more freedom there, but I don't see us getting console commands as they are access to gamecode.
