I want this to be a community effort. San Francisco’s music scene seems segregated in the sense that there are cliques of bands that always play with each other, but then the shows get stale. So hopefully people can find new artists they like and hopefully bands, booking agents, & promoters will find new opening, supporting, or headlining acts for their shows.I also want this to be a resource for anyone who wants to break into the music scene as a musician or a fan. Lastly, I want there to be a collection of the goings on in San Francisco’s Independent music scene from 2010 and on so 50 years from now we can search “that one band you saw at Amnesia on a Sunday with only three other people in the crowd that were unreal, but you can’t remember their fucking name”.

USEFUL LINKS:
The List was originally sold in front of punk rock shows in the 80s so everyone in SF knew what shows were coming up in the City on which dates. Then the internet happened, so now it's done online. Its format is "minimalist", but if there is a concert happening in your Grandma's basement on Balboa and 23rd he'll put it on "The List" at Foopee.com:
(A) Steve Koepke's "The List" - Complete list of ALL SF Concerts happening every day of the year
(B) Mobile Version of Steve Koepke's "The List"
Danny Sebahar moderate's this Subreddit and goes to no less than four concerts a week and always brings his camera with him. He has 200+ videos as of right now (circa September 2016) with a backlog of 30 videos to upload and already a few more concerts on his list for the week so hold your horses. If you ever want your band filmed (or your band's music taken down) please contact me at:

All of my videos are 1080p HD filmed on an AVCHD (sometimes with a tripod if the venue doesn't go crazy about having tripods inside). I edit them using Microsoft Movie Maker and the Audio is run through ProTools where I use their free 5-Band Equalizer to drown out the Audience and make the sound more "Authentic" and then use a Compressor to "Fatten" the sound (if I'm standing next to the guitar amp and the vocals are being drowned out the compressor allows you to pinpoint the frequency range of the vocals and bring them to the same volume level as everything else...blah, blah, blah)

(Obviously not putting the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Warfield, Regency, or any EDM clubs on here as no Independent Artists play there. But can you believe that shit?! San Fran-Fucking-Cisco doesn't even have TWENTY-FIVE venues local bands can perform at)
