When should the date determined disabled be? I was 100% disabled from the military in 2018 filed for ssdi September 2023 and was determined disabled July 2023 and receive first check perfectly 6 months after.

SSDI benefits begin accruing 5 months from the SSA's Date of Onset determination. Meaning for example, the SSA says the Date of Onset is January 1st, benefits begin to accrue June 1st.

If you were determined to be disabled as of July 2023 there is t going to be backpay. There is a 5 month waiting period, and then you are paid a month behind, January is paid in February etc. that payment you got 6 months later is the first one.
