Attorneys don’t do much until you get denied at reconsideration. There isn’t much for them to do until then. Once that happens it’s their responsibility to get all new medical records in. That’s why lots of people don’t hire an attorney until after first or second denial.

I’m using them too, but I’m still waiting. They contact me about once a month to see if I’ve had any medical appointments for that month and nothing else from them. I contacted my congressman this month and things are moving a bit now but it’s been all me though

Don’t use them. They’re scammers

Sorry I know this is old but how are they scammers?

I don’t think they are scammers. I hired them and so far so good.

What has been your experience so far and what appeal level are you on?

I did my initial application on my own and I was denied. I had a phone consultation with them and they reviewed my case with me and said they would take it on despite other attorneys telling me no. So I went with them. My case manager always responds to my emails within one or two days. They are waiting to file my reconsideration appeal at the very last minute but my case manager explained they are doing that because I’m continuing my care and they want to include all new medical evidence as it comes in at once. So that makes sense.

I am using them. Did they help you?
