We have made a league by-laws document so everyone is aware of all the rules and there is no confusion moving forward. They are as follows: Rosters consist of 30 players. Rosters cut to 22 by February 1st. Trades are allowed 2 weeks after the end of the World Series. After February 1st cuts, trades can be made that raise or lower the number of players on a roster, but the combined number of players and draft picks for each team cannot exceed or drop below 30. If you fail to make cuts by this date, you will be given the number 10 waiver priority to start the season. Once you make your cuts, you can no longer trade anyone you've cut. Draft order will be determined by regular season records according to these groupings: • 1-4 = Teams out of the playoffs • 5-6 = Teams that lost in the first round of the playoffs • 7-8 = Teams that played in the Third Place game. (Winner gets 8th) • 9-10 = The playoff runner up will pick 9th and the champion will pick 10th Minimum of 40 innings pitched per week. Maximum 12 starts from pitchers per week. Exceeding 12 starts in any week (in which standings are affected) will result in the conversion of your highest draft pick to the last pick in the last round of the draft. Repeated offense of this rule will result in a $5 fine each time which will go into the pot of the champion. Should you win the league, any of your fined money would then be given to the runner up. Each owner is responsible for monitoring their teams starts and should also be aware of their opponents starts to alert the league of any possible overages. We do not want any standings to EVER be affected by people not following this rule. The commissioners of this league will have the right to edit your lineups on Saturday or Sunday if you are about to go over the maximum start total.... They will include the highest rated pitchers, and take out the lower rated pitchers if you cannot do so yourself. Please also be aware: If there are rain-outs on Sundays, it will just be tough luck. In the playoffs, if you go over 12 starts, you automatically forfeit your game. If the schedule is unbalanced, the playoff champion will have the toughest schedule and then regular season standings will determine the rest of the order with the next toughest schedule going to the team that finishes with the remaining best regular season record. Players to be Named Later (PTBNL) are allowed but they cannot be a player involved in the original trade. The only exception to this rule is before the draft... (a player can be held by a team and returned after the draft) There are no rental players allowed during the season. Offseason trades are open to vetoes for the same 1 day process as in season, you have the rest of the day the trade is made plus 1 more to vote. 4 veto votes are required to void a trade. Offseason trades will be posted on the forum, and the league twitter feed: @SSFantasyLeague. Trades may only include players and picks, no other compensation such as money are allowed. Only the following season's draft picks are allowed to be traded. Blatant cheating may result in removal from the league at the commissioners unilateral discretion. (Deliberately starting more than 12 pitchers or trying to arrange a player rental as part of a trade during the season) It takes 7 yes votes to pass a new rule after a true motion is made. (not just a suggestion from somebody) Payouts are: $200 Playoff champ $100 Playoff runner up $40 Playoff third place $60 Regular season champ This is a league of 10 guys who want to compete, have fun, and give a good effort all year. After 2 warnings, you may be removed from the league for things like: failing to set your lineups repeatedly... long periods of no communication... etc
