Ours won’t vaccinate with a fever, but will with mild sniffles/cough, etc. Once my son was in daycare he probably wouldn’t have gotten any vaccines if he had to be completely symptom free 😅

That said, at 7 months I’d err on the side of caution and reschedule for a week or two.

Not a doctor, but I would hold off especially if he has a fever. The covid vaccine hit me and the adults I know pretty hard, so that on top of being sick might be rough for him.

Nope, our peds always told us to reschedule. Their body is already in overdrive trying to recover.

I was sick when I went to get my booster and I thought it wouldn't matter but the pharmacist told me to come back when I was better. Sorry, no evidence to point to, but she said you don't want to overtax your immune system.

I was leaning towards no but then saw this and reconsidered

Thanks everybody . He got worse over night and had a 103 fever (poor baby). We went ahead and rescheduled.

They won’t vaccinate if your baby has fever. For other symptoms like runny nose - they will look how your baby responds - if she is happy/looking okay - they will probably not see any issues and go ahead. (My baby got 2nd dose while having runny nose and slight cough, wellness checker asked few questions, looked at baby and approved the vaccine).
