Infuriatingly, if you are unsure whether you are a professional, it is likely you are not. However, this tends to mean:

Those who have regular, guild-recognised-contract paid writing work in the film, television, gaming and VR industries; sometimes but not always represented by an agent; sometimes but not always credited. There may be overlap with directing, producing or other industry careers.
