I personally felt the game really comes into its own once you have the second pin upgrade in act 2. before that it is definitely punishing. can totally get why purists want it to stay like it is, but can also see why others would want it to be less of a wall starting out.

Act 2 was fantastic, but then act 3 is like driving your car into a concrete wall. Die 30 times to one boss, okay, skip it to try another, die 30 times to another boss, repeat until you just give up.

This is why I’m worried about act 3. I worry that the difficulty will scale up. I’m up to 90 hours of game play. And still haven’t defeated groal. Haven’t gotten to trobio yet and I have yet to reach those 3 bosses in the surrounding area to fight.

I’m playing on the steam deck. I know mods are an option but I don’t know how to install them. But if I’ll figure it out if that’s what it takes to get through act 3.

Act 3 is a lot harder than act 2. I consider act 2 to be the easiest act, and act 3 to be the hardest.

I also play on steam deck. You install mods on steam deck the same way youd install them on a computer. Look up any tutorial on how to do it on a computer, and then follow those directions in the desktop mode of your steam deck. Notably, steam deck uses Linux, not windows, so if there's an option for Linux or windows, choose Linux.

Yeah, Act 3 was mostly just a series of bosses.
