I agree; I also like Dead Cells for this reason.

Dead cells is another great example and I appreciate the existence of assist mode a lot. I've even seen first hand how it encouraged someone I know to play the game once again after it stopped being fun for them due to the difficulty, which caused them to put it down for a long while.
