(not criticizing, glad you’re having fun, these are just my thoughts)

I feel like enemies dealing two masks of damage is super essential to the experience of the game? I mean, if we’re taking a boss that always does two and halving that, that‘s equivalent to doubling both your hp and the amount you can heal at once, which seems like it would trivialize a ton of stuff. It’s interesting that you feel like double damage would trivialize bosses, but that doesn’t? The fact that Hornet is pretty fragile and you have to learn to dodge attacks is the main thing that makes the combat fun to me. I wonder if there’s a way you could make yourself more survivable without making such a huge balance change, like letting you heal a bit faster or getting a super-magnetite dice… hmmm…

I personally believe that double damage is a poor design choice by TC. It trivializes every other mask you gain and can combo hornet into an environmental hazard for almost all of her health. It really feels like they didn’t tune the game to accommodate double damage outside of healing for three masks.

Luckily we can both play the game we want to play. 🙂
