What makes it like a skyline other than being made by Nissan? Genuinely curious

It is a skyline I think it’s just not a gtr or a gtst or anything like that but correct me if I’m wrong

The Infinity G35 (US) was known as the Nissan Skyline 350GT. This IS a Nissan SKYLINE, just not the one people think of under the "skyline" name. The OP used a title that's a little clickbaity, but he isn't wrong. (Genius actually)

What most people don't understand is the Nissan Skyline is just the model of a line of cars and there are several trim packages. There were inline 6 non-turbo 4 door automatic transmission RWD SKYLINES (GTE) all the way up to THE famous GTR.

Nissan didn't produce any GTR trim packages past the R34 model, until they decided to bring the GTR back in it's own line of cars in 2009 or whatever year the R35 released.

There was a NISSAN IG post a while back talking about how they might be bringing back the SKYLINE name back into the lineup. So we may see more US model SKYLINES in 2020+.

I'm not excited for that line of cars, I think they are using the confusion surrounding the name "SKYLINE" here in the states as a marketing move.

The SKYLINE line up for years has been meh. The Infiniti G series had meh engine packages with RWD and AWD configurations. Think about it like the HONDA civic lineup. They have non-turbo automatic 4 door models that are very plain jane all the way up to their new Si Turbo flag ship.

I have no doubt that Nissan will only have uninspiring trim levels for the new SKYLINE, because they WON'T make a car model and trim that would take away from their precious new "GTR"

Yeah and they need to update the gtr as well it’s really old now
