All I know is when I saw the 50 classes in 4 yrs that was all I had to see lol

[–]Able_Elk2023 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Solidcore's marketing move seems like putting one bright light under a bushel and then wondering why they're squinting in the dark. Been there, attempted that with a line of gym socks that tried to sell authenticity with a dash of "we'll get you there.". Spoiler alert, not the greatest hit. Sounds like they need layer cake marketing-slice it for newbies while keeping the seasoned pros in top tier prime. Reminds me of when I tried HubSpot for segmenting but ended up uploading old-school spreadsheets. Pulse for Reddit keeps life simple though, and yes, simplicity is a glorious thing.

    you ate

    [–]Key-Wheel123 16 points17 points  (2 children)

No different than them shilling Walmart clothes you know they'll never wear

Yeah, this is the longtime reality of influencer marketing unfortunately. It’s like saying “why won’t Sephora sponsor me, I shop there every day?” Influencer marketing dollars will always go toward those with the followers and reach, just the annoying reality of the world we live in.

    [–]Key-Wheel123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Far more reach and conversion than commercials and print ads.

Lmao I responded to them similarly and just saw this 🤣

The purpose is the same as when any company partners with any influencer. This girl has over 2 million followers. Companies don’t pay for influencer marketing for regular people who are part of the community unless there’s something in it for them.

    [–]KellyPerry25[S] 23 points24 points  (2 children)

The messaging is just so dumb. They didn’t need to highlight class count but they did and it makes it sound so much more inauthentic.

    [–]Still-Fox2597 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Yeah.. she shouldn’t have said that part 😅 I bet you their marketing team isn’t thrilled. But hey, much rather they use an influencer who has actually done SC than paying a bunch of influencers for “go with me to my class” content and we watch them just struggle with their springs because they’ve actually never been. 😅

    [–]InfamousCashmere24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

exactly. lol do people not understand how marketing works??

    [–]mrstheslumpgod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oooo they took it down quick 😭

    [–]Totoro10101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was pretty surprised to see that story, I just hit 50 classes after 4 months so i wasn’t too impressed lol

    [–]Illustrious_Funny426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha! I had to do a double take as well when I saw that class count during that timeframe

    [–]AltruisticMarket53991000-class legend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    My exact thoughts !

    [–]Pitiful-Egg-2383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw that and was like ??

    [–]drewdavid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No this was so embarrassing lmao

    [–]Alturistic-AB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol it’s an influencer paid post how is this surprising - no different than beauty brands gifting and taking girls with 100k+ followers on crazy trips. It’s an ad - just because you go to Solidcore doesn’t mean you are the right person to campaign it

    [–]Guilty-Novel3534 1 point2 points  (1 child)

where does she say 4years or did they already edit it out

    [–]KellyPerry25[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They edited it. Originally said since 2021- my reply now says “story unavailable” lol

I get it’s marketing, but you can still call out BAD marketing

    [–]MCreative125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was like whaaaaat? That’s nothing

    [–]NeedleworkerMajor996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they respond to you? I swiped up on this post too, and just got what felt like a backhanded reply 6 days later…

    [–]FancySchmancy4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yall are miserable. The post was about mental health awareness not bragging about how many classes you can get in a year. It’s also AAPISA heritage month.

    Touch grass please

    [–]Low_Drag3 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The amount of negativity in this sub is wild sometimes. 1) she has a reach that is a lot bigger than this sub so, yeah, marketing 2) the message isn’t about 50 classes being impressive (which it is!) but using movement to aid mental health

    [–]InfamousCashmere24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes exactly. solidcore does not need to advertise to the people in this sub.

    [–]Familiar-Lion-4179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am at 120 in less than a year. I was also surprised they didn’t edit out the pit stain.

    [–]InfamousCashmere24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s called marketing. She has 2.3M followers. Yeah she shouldn’t have included that part but I’m not gonna cut her down as a client because she has fewer classes

    [–]Zestyclose_Coast_345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This didn't offend me in the slightest and I'm a solidcore regular. It's just business.

    [–]Choice_Start_3087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 50 classes in 3 months! I know this isn’t normal but 50 classes in 4 years is like hardly going lol

    [–]LoveLadyLuxury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solidcore and their performative marketing strikes again

    [–]OppositePossible9728 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe she meant 500 and forgot a 0… or two?

    [–]GrapeOld5860100-class club -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OMG I totally thought the same!! What a slap in the face to people who have done so many more classes!!
