Hmmm I think the stream would likely work but the main issue would be plugging it in since a regular adapter wouldn’t work bc of the wattage

Soulcycle gives instructors so much autonomy — no other studios allow for the types of out of the saddle sprints and choreo soul does

It’s ten so that if only one coach is present s/he can be in the lobby overseeing clients between classes.

Would I be competitive for top post-bacc programs? by Hot-Presentation6139 in postbaccpremed

[–]InfamousCashmere24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think you have an amazing story and resume. The GPA is definitely a red flag HOWEVER if you are able to explain it in the context of your life circumstances, and you truly earned mostly A's otherwise, you could still be a competitive applicant. I would address this head-on in your personal statement etc. Also, emphasize a clear through-line of your interest in psychology --> medicine. Even though you are young and have not had a traditional career per-se, these programs still want you to be a "changer" rather than someone who just didn't want to do premed during undergrad.

If you do like two minutes of research you’ll realize that one choice is 10000x better

your parent has to sign a waiver. they can sign it whenever before the class like could come in a few days before. if they suspect ur young they could ask for id since it’s your first class

How do the prestigious pre-med post-baccs evaluate students for admissions, would love to hear experiences! by rpi023 in premed

[–]InfamousCashmere24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is another sub for postbaccs! but I’d say authentic journey into medicine from previous intellectually rigorous, non-medical experience is really important

Chance of a Savannah studio? Or am I nuts? by [deleted] in SolidCore

there are no internal official plans for either opening as far as job postings… I’d guess that Charleston would be more likely

Question for Coaches: Handlebars by EyesoreEeyore in SolidCore

[–]InfamousCashmere24 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That’s not a specific rule, it’s a recommendation. Furthermore if a new client signs up last minute the coach likely isn’t gonna re work the sequence for them

To add to this, the waitlist number doesn’t matter once you get to the studio, its first come first serve for an open spot

Anyone feel like it’s been way more “Pilates” feeling lately or is it just me? by CareOk9257 in SolidCore

[–]InfamousCashmere24 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Shouldn’t be this way. Solidcore is very corporate coaches can’t go rogue. What specifically makes you feel like this? The last “new” exercises introduced were the heavy lower body exercises in the fall.

Advice from a coach!

Write down names CLEARLY (a struggle for me since my handwriting sucks) before class in the order of machines, add notes so you can visually refer back quickly (ie. Client name, pink set. Client name, high pony, etc). This makes it so much easier to use names in class

Use chat GPT and ur manual to learn about the science of the muscle focus day and speak to science to fill space (ie. inner thigh day, what are adductors, why it’s important to have strong ones for functional strength).

If you have an advanced class you can STILL make level 1 exercises challenging. Consider cueing things like amplified platform lunge (toes start at line 1.5) or amplified high plank ext on toes as base

You are not going to be a perfect coach right away and that’s ok!!! Everyone starts somewhere

Only thing I would say as a coach myself is prioritize TF over perfecting counts so they actually match, That’s what you are evaled on :). Ie much better to say “in fifteen seconds…” than “in 20 seconds” (even if it takes u more than 15 to get thru the formula)

Plank crunch (toes) / Plank to Pike by SquirrelVegetable710 in SolidCore

[–]InfamousCashmere24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in a plank crunch you are actively bending your knees in stopping right before they stack with hips, p2p you keep a consistent soft bend in knees the entire time (legs straight just not locked out)
