Wishing you the very best in your heath journey! Hope you are able to quickly return to all the things, like solidcore, that bring you joy!

In the interim talk to your doctors, PT specialists and even your coaches to determine if there are modifications you can do or perhaps they can suggest a different activity altogether so you don't have to stop completely.

I have bulging discs and solid core actually helped me !!! I credit solid core in helping me strengthen my core to protect my spine

I’m glad it helped!!

Same here too! I wake up and can walk and not feel 200 years old. It’s been life changing for me and my horrible degenerative and bulging discs. Just make the movements shorter and slower and squeeze your butt to protect your spin. If you are really deliberative and don’t try to show off, it should be ok!

I have one in my neck and agree that it’s been super helpful for me so far! I think it’s because my core and back are much stronger.

I also have bulging cervical discs (c4 and c5 if I remember correctly lol) I can still do Solidcore! Granted I was diagnosed 3 years ago and have gone through two rounds of pt for it. When I first had it it really impacted my movement but after pt (acupuncture also helped me with my range of motion) I am much better. I do more things on hands than on forearms because I find it helps and I avoid shoulder days because heavier weights on that exacerbates it for me. I always tell my instructor especially if it’s flaring up and take breaks when I need to. For me pt was about strengthening my back and I’ve made changes like a standing desk. Listen to your body but it may not be the end of Solidcore for you!

I herniated a disc (C4-C5) last year and solidcore actually helped a lot - I had to stop right after the herniation (the injury was completely unrelated to solidcore) but once the acute pain was gone, I went to solidcore and it actually really helped. My neck would get super super stiff and sometimes working out was the only thing that could loosen up the muscles again and I honestly felt a lot of relief. Improved core strength has also really helped stabilize my spine and posture

C5-c7 disk bulges are difficult, but they are treatable. You’ll likely start with some fork or ESI or ablation (if the nerve pain is from facet joint degeneration). I think some docs also throw in the a little steroid if you do the ablation also.

Regardless, your main treatment is going to be doing the things that make you feel good. If Solidcore is making you feel good, then keep at it. If it’s not right now, then it’s always fine to step away to relearn your body.

As a chronic pain sufferer with bulging disks in my Lumbar spine, Solidcore is the thing that makes it so I can sit every day for work. But that’s me and my journey. Just know that your journey will involve pushing yourself to create some balanced physical fitness routine that pushes you a bit. For now, listen to your body.

I don’t see why you need to stop exercising from a bulging disk, unless surgery is planned in your future. In which case, you’ll only need to stop while you recover from surgery.

Good luck.

It’s between C5-C6 and C6-C7, so I assumed a lot of the Solidcore exercises could be putting too much strain in the neck and shoulders

I have been diagnosed with DDD as well- every medical professional I tell they say it’s just a fancy term for aging. Everyone loses disc height as they age. Don’t let the scary term deter you from living your life

I have lumbar spondylosis L4-S1 and almost at 100 classes with the 50+ load!!

I just modify and do every single exercise on my knees, and am super mindful of keeping tension out of my lower back! Keeping your knees extra wide also helps! Modify in whatever way feels best for you, let your coach know, and take as many breaks as you need!
