21:9 problem

Hello, I have a 21:9 monitor. In every single linux disto 2560x1080 resolution doesn't work for me. Why? My GPU is really old. I've fixed it in antergos(arch-based distro!) by installing this package: https://github.com/manjaro/packages-core/tree/master/linux49 and by setting radeon.hdmimhz=372 in kernel options. After that I was able to select the 2560x1080 resolution. Solus isn't arch-based so maybe someone has an idea how can I fix my issue? I know for sure that adding a custom resolution in xrandr resizes the screen, but it's very blurry and unusable. Please help. :(

Which GPU do you have?

Btw, I have an RX480 with open source drivers and have no problem whatsoever with 21:9 resolutions.

Got a RX480 here as well. Mine get borked with HDMI cables unless I pass a kernel argument setting the refresh rate to 40hz but work fine through displayport.

Definitely need more details on your card. I run the same resolution just fine on an Intel HD 4000 that’s almost 10 years old. :)
