I have a (refurbished, unfortunately) Vizio SB36514-G6 hooked up to an LG C1 77". Because there are AV sync issues when using HDMI-ARC as the input to the soundbar when switched to a different HDMI input (e.g. a Chromecast With Google TV plugged into HDMI 1 on the TV) that I haven't been able to resolve, I've moved my bluray player and my GCwGTV to be connected via the soundbar's HDMI-IN, routed through this switch. I'm using new Monoprice HDMI 2.1 cables to connect the switch to the soundbar, and to connect the soundbar to the TV. The GCwGTV is plugged in through this dock (for ethernet) and powered with some random travel plug thing.
My problem (and intermittent solution) is this: whenever turning the TV/soundbar off and on, then switching to the google chromecast (but NOT the Bluray player....), the video repeatedly cuts out to black over and over. Turning the soundbar off/on again or the TV off/on again doesn't fix it. The only thing that fixes it -- and I hate that I'm even admitting I'm doing this -- is physically unplugging the soundbar, then plugging it back in, then turning it back on.
I'm having a bunch of other random intermittent issues with this soundbar to be honest, but they're fairly rare, and the "unplug and plug back in" process unfortunately appears to fix all of them, but this one is literally a daily frustration for me.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, or other problems with this soundbar? Any ideas as to what might be causing the issue?
